Our comprehension of building a good impregnation device includes optimal operability and easy cleaning.
For certain applications and as an alternative to the impregnation device we offer our 4-roll-coater. This coating unit is able to apply a defined coating quantity simultaneously on both sides of the paper. The technical requirements of this system are based on normal wet area equipment, also the quality of the dosing corresponds to the usual requirements.

Application processes for the manufacturing of highly abrasive resistant surfaces can be done either wet or dry.
Beside the application systems for liquid overlay (ARP) you can apply individual quantities and sizes of corundum with the VITS-scattering devices - for all abrasion classes up to AC6.
With our technologies, the corundum application to achieve the scratch resistance according to Martindale test can be guaranteed.

For more than 60 years Vits is engineering VITS-flotation dryers for most different customer requirements and needs, for divers industries and end products. The drying of web materials is counted among the proofed core competences of VITS.
Our patented air cushion nozzle LAY-ON-AIR® enables the contact-free transport of web materials - with web widths up to 5 m.
Furthermore VITS also offers highly efficient vertical radiation dryers.

We have a command of drying technologies in convection and radiation. The in-house process design of required temperature and air currents inside the dryer sections is based on long-time theoretical and practical experience of the VITS-specialists. Already in the phase of design the calculated drying simulation gives a practicable insight into the effectiveness of the chosen temperature and air current rates. By means of graphic drying curves the behaviour of the product in the dryer can be clearly shown.
The modern dryer engineering considers all required technical standards as well as safety aspects. According to the process the latest ATEX-safety measures regarding explosion protection are applied. In cases of expected high solvent concentrations, which are created by the evaporation of explosible gases in the production process, the danger areas of the aggregates are determined in advance, analysed and technically safeguarded appropriate.
For the sake of the environment we rely on the expertise of our partner companies Wessel-Umwelttechnik and Airprotech in all questions of exhaust air cleaning. While Airprotech with their RTO-systems is specialized in the effective afterburning of polluted exhaust gases during the impregnation, Wessel offers high-efficient solutions for heat recovery. With this up to 70 % of the already generated heat energy can be returned to the drying process, saving your costs and our environment.

The VITS-gravure roll coater is an all-rounder if liquids are concerned.
High-grade surface structures of the gravure rolls care for a defined application of resin solutions, which are dried in the running production process. Beside melamine resins also many other liquid media can be applied.
Due to the low deflection of the web in the system the gravure roll coater cares for a balanced web tension in the running operation. This is guaranteed by the forward rotating gravure rolls.
According to the requirements there are different executions. This enables the application of different media to the upper and lower side of the web (options: only upper side, only lower side, both sides at once).

After the drying process the cooling rolls care for a homogeneous cooling of the web down to technologically required values.
The double-walled execution of the cooling rolls enables an even cooling, also at wider webs.
Also important is the retention force of the cooling roll group regarding the following cross-cutting or rewinding operation.
According to product characteristics there are different roll diameters and configurations available.
The drive for this draw and cooling roll group is generally used as master drive for the complete plant and is controlled via a fully-automatic web tension control.
Additionally an edge cutter can be installed at the end of the cooling roll stand.

Synchronous pore (registered embossing) without waste - successfully established at our customers for years:
Two cameras and a laser Doppler-system evaluate print marks on both sides of the paper web and measure high-precise relevant dimensions - length, width and diagonal - between the marks. Our system is also possible for web products (for continuous pressing) and can be retrofitted for existing plants and integrated into the plant control.

The secret of the VITS-success is - beside the accurate cut - the safe and correct sheet stacking.
Here the core competences are the semi or full rotation cross-cutters. Semi-rotation is a system, which consists of a lower pivoting knife beam and a rotation knife arranged above. Full-rotation means two rotation knives, which are arranged above each other.
Decisive for the execution is the particular production speed, which can be 300 m/min and more, e.g. for phenolic papers.

VITS offers different solutions:
Directly after the cross-cutter the sheets are stacked neatly and accurate by means of brake table. As soon as a pile is complete, our system enables a smooth pallet change - without waste or decrease of the production speed.

Modern failsafe PLC and modern bus technology (Profinet, Profisafe) are VITS-standard. On request decentralized periphery can also be offered.
The comfort touch panels are displaying all important data of the plant at a glance and provide quick access to all process parameters. The process masks are continuously focused on the process and in case of a problem or interruption a high volume of information can be provided, in order to localize the reason for the disturbance. Moreover VITS has got a new remote maintenance concept with simplified software, which improves maintenance and troubleshooting.
