Crepe paper coating is a process, which is quite comparable to a standard impregnation. Differences are the first saturation and the coating systems for release agents and primer. Particular attention is paid to the automatic web tension control in the different plant areas.

VITS has vast experience and know-how in filter paper impregnation for the automotive industry. Oil filters used here are mainly consisting of papers impregnated with phenolic resin. Our plants are laid-out and configured according to customer-specific parameters, such as web width and speed.

Beside the manifold solutions for the wood based panel industry VITS engineers and builds special plants for the production of technical laminates. These plants are subject to highest requirements regarding quality and safety engineering.
With the continuous improvement of our coating and impregnation devices it is possible to have the - mostly expensive - resins precisely dosed onto or into the carrier material. This enables a raw material and energy consumption reduction for our customers.
No matter if radiation or high-efficiency drying: your product and your operating reliability are in good hands with VITS. Based on our experience from decades we make - together with our customer - a choice of the optimal drying technology and we specify the required heating and drying capacity for obtaining the chemical and technical qualities of your prepregs and/or end products. When using aggressive media, we use stainless steel floating dryers.
Of course, energy recovery concepts, exhaust air cleaning as well as a construction under consideration of current national and international standards, e.g. the explosion protection directions (ATEX), are also provided.

Mica is a mineral material with extreme low electrical conductivity, which is used in the electro industry.
The special feature of the plants supplied by us is the wrinkle-free lamination of glass fibre webs and mica as well as the possibility to apply several protective foils.
Furthermore the dryer has an on-line metallic support belt, which allows - due to the large opening degree - not only different temperatures, but also air speeds in the dryer.
This support belt is also of good use, when mica as sole material - provided with resin saturation - should be dried.

Web-shaped glass cloth is in a one-step or two-step impregnation process saturated with a resin solution. In case of need a coat with an adhesive or a release agent can be carried-out. Then the non-woven products can be processed appropriately.

VITS is the only plant manufacturer, who has got an in-house laboratory impregnation plant. This pilot plant enables our customers to test new products with own resins or raw materials, or to execute technological adaptations in existing production processes.
The pilot plant is an impregnation line in laboratory scale for web widths of max. 500 mm, offering a broad spectrum of saturation and coating applications and has got more than ten different coating systems available.
Basic equipment are - although in a simple construction - an unwinder, a rewinder, a core saturation device, a two-step dryer as well as several intermediate coating devices. It is possible to use wire doctor systems as well as various roll application systems.
If you are interested, we would be glad to offer a laboratory plant to you, designed according to your requirements, enabling you to simulate your production processes and to test new products.
